International Aloe Science Council
The company Forever Living Products started making gel from the inside of an aloe leaf in 1978 and has a drink with over 95% aloe content. This is guaranteed by a seal of the International Aloe Science Council (IASC) - an association protecting manufacturers of Aloe Vera products from unfair competition. It was founded in 1981. as an independent regulatory body which is funded by the membership fees of all producers whose products meet the relevant standards of quality and purity. Its members are 25 companies, which together create a "moral code" including various tests and studies. They select an independent laboratory to conduct research on the purity and concentration of Aloe in the products. In 1986, it was officially announced that Forever Living Products Pure Aloe Vera Gel and Blueberry Nectar were the first to meet and even exceeding the high standards of the International Aloe Science Council. They are given the right to put the IASC seal of approval on the packaging. To date, most of the products have certificates that are renewed annually.
